Our experienced, USDA-accredited veterinarian makes routine visits to inspect both our adult dogs and puppies. We follow a strict vaccination and deworming protocol to ensure their health. Young puppies need plenty of love and attention, so we begin socializing them from an early age. By the time they go to their new homes, they are not only healthy and well-adjusted but also experts at giving puppy kisses!πΎπ

Frequently Asked Questions
How can I find a trustworthy source for adopting a Pomsky?
Great question. Finding a Pomsky to adopt can be a little tricky because they’re a relatively new and rare mix. Be cautious of scams. If you have any doubts, ask for a live video call with the puppy you’re interested in. Always review the breeder’s Google reviewsβavoid relying solely on testimonials on their own website, as those can be edited. Ask for references from past customers. Request an appointment to visit the puppies in person, even if you’re unable to make the trip. Legitimate breeders will gladly accommodate these requests.
What is the personality of the Pomsky breed?
At American Pomsky, our Pomskies are known for their bright, playful personalities and loving temperaments. Intelligent, social, and full of charm, they bond quickly with their families and bring joy to every home. Energetic yet affectionate, a Pomsky from American Pomsky is the perfect blend of fun and companionship.
How can I prepare for my new Pomsky puppy?
Puppy-proof your home by removing small items they could swallow and anything they might chew or destroy. Set up a safe puppy area with a crate, toys, and quality food. Schedule a vet visit, and plan daily playtime along with early socialization to help your puppy adjust and thrive.
How big does a Pomsky get?
American Pomsky has a wide range of adult Pomskies. Pomskies range from 12 to 35 pounds, so there’s a perfect fit for every home. Let us know your ideal size, and we’ll point you to the parents that can make it happen.
How much and how often do I feed my new puppy?
Pomskies are not prone to overeating, so we believe a growing puppy should be able to eat freely. Our puppies are on a free-feeding schedule, meaning they have access to food and water at all times, except when they are in their crate. We recommend maintaining this schedule unless you have other pets in the home that might interfere with free access to food. In that case, we suggest feeding your Pomsky at least three times a day until they are four months old, then transitioning to twice daily feedings.
Should I choose a female or female Pomsky?
Many of our customers like to choose the gender of their new puppy based on the one they had previously. However, if this is your first puppy, don’t stress too muchβthere isn’t a huge difference between male and female Pomskies. Both make equally playful, loving, and trainable companions. The main distinction is usually size:- Males tend to be slightly larger in both height and weight.
- Females are generally smaller and more petite.
How much exercise does a Pomsky need?
Pomskies are active and energetic dogs, requiring daily walks and playtime. Regular exercise helps keep them healthy and preventsΒ destructive behavior. If your puppy seems happy and engaged during exercise, it’s a good sign that the activity level is appropriate. Our best recommendation is to allow your new puppy as much exercise as it wants, while observing its energy and comfort.
Why do we recommend you choose American Pomsky for your next Pomsky Puppy?
This is an easy questionβwe are proudly known as The Original Pomsky Breeder. When we began raising Pomsky puppies, there were likely fewer than six breeders in the entire United States. We set the standard for the breed and continue to uphold it today. If you’re in doubt, just look at our puppies’ conformation and coat qualityβyou won’t find anything else like American Pomsky.Β
